Ich bin ein Ex-Berliner, and I treasure these publications greatly. I left Berlin in July 1939, under sad circumstances, and I have been in England ever since. I have visited Berlin a number of times, and admired the changes you and the people have made to the town and its atmosphere.
I congratulate you and everybody for making the effort to come to terms with the past, and wish you well for the future. Unfortunately, I am old and frail now, and cannot come any longer to see it for myself. I can still speak German, of course, but find it easier to write in English; I hope you will forgive me.
