News on participation in Tempelhof-Schöneberg

On November 22, 2024, the Participation Space Tempelhof-Schöneberg warmly invited everyone to the festive opening of its new premises at Dominicusstraße 11. Numerous dedicated initiatives, associations, citizens, and political representatives from the district came together to celebrate this special moment with the project team. Also noteworthy are the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing, other district participation spaces, and many more who found their way to Dominicusstraße.

After a warm welcome to all visitors, the Participation Space was officially opened. District Mayor Mr. Jörn Oltmann and the Chairman of the District Assembly, Stefan Böltes, delivered the opening speeches. Subsequently, a key was symbolically handed over from the organizational unit for Socially Oriented Planning Coordination, represented by data coordinator Ulrich Binner, to the project team of the Participation Space. With refreshing drinks and delicious food, many stimulating conversations were held well into the evening.

The Participation Space serves as an important interface between citizens and administration. The goal is to create more transparency regarding planned projects and to offer citizens various opportunities for active participation. The space is operated by the office “die raumplaner” and follows the motto “INFORMED – SUPPORTED – CONNECTED.” If you have questions, want to contribute ideas, or know of places where we should discuss participation, the Participation Space welcomes your suggestions and looks forward to engaging in dialogue with you.
