Cake*Talks - Kuchen trifft Theorie und Praxis | Thema "Wahlen 2024"

Am 12. Januar wird uns das Wahljahr 2024 beschäftigen. Neben der Europawahl und den Landtagswahlen in Sachsen, Thüringen und Brandenburg steht nun auch in etwa 1/4 der Berliner Wahllokale eine WIederholung der Bundestagswahl an. Aus diesem Anlass möchten wir darüber diskutieren, wie sich die demokratischen Kräfte für das erneute “Super-Wahljahr” aufstellen können. Kann es noch gelingen, die Wahlerfolge der extremen Rechten in den ostdeutschen Bundesländern zu verhindern? Was erwartet uns auf europäischer Ebene? Und was hat das Alles mit Treptow-Köpenick zu tun?

Wir laden ein zum Diskutieren und gemeinsamen Kuchen-Essen in die Michael-Brückner-Straße 1 (Anbau des Bürgeramtes, direkt am S-Bahnhof Schöneweide).

Jeden Monat neue Häppchen: Kuchen und Theorie im Zentrum für Demokratie Treptow Köpenick. Plaudern: über Studien zur extremen Rechten, Rassismus und Antisemitismus | Nachdenken: Was hat das mit uns zu tun? Was können wir tun?

The election year 2024 will be upon us on 12 January. In addition to the European elections and the state elections in Saxony, Thuringia and Brandenburg, around 1/4 of Berlin’s polling stations are now also due to hold a repeat of the Bundestag elections. On this occasion, we would like to discuss how the democratic forces can position themselves for another “super election year”. Can we still succeed in preventing the electoral successes of the far right in the eastern German states? What can we expect at European level? And what does all this have to do with Treptow-Köpenick?

We invite you to discuss and eat cake together at Michael-Brückner-Straße 1 (extension to the Bürgeramt, right next to Schöneweide S-Bahn station).

Umkämpfte Erinnerung: Kontinuität rechter Gewalt - NSU, Halle, Hanau

Anlässlich des vierten Jahrestages des rechtsterroristischen und rassistischen Anschlags von Hanau laden wir zu einem Workshop ein.
An diesem Abend wollen wir gemeinsam die Frage nach der Kontinuität des rechten Terrors stellen. Anhand der Beispiele NSU, Halle und Hanau soll dieser Zusammenhang sichtbar gemacht werden.
Außerdem werden wir an diesem Abend eine Methode der Initiative BiLaN vorstellen und direkt ausprobieren.
Die Methode lässt Betroffene als auch Aktivist*innen zu einzelnen ausgewählten Ereignissen rechten Terrors zu Wort kommen und legt Konsequenzen für betroffene Personen offen.

Der Workshop findet in deutscher Sprache statt.

Schulen, Jugendeinrichtungen und andere Interessierte können sich an das Zentrum für Demokratie und das Projekt aras* wenden, wenn sie Interesse haben, den Workshop einmal selbst anzubieten. Die Kontaktdaten finden sich auf der Homepage des Zentrums für Demokratie Treptow-Köpenick

Contested memory: Continuity of right-wing violence – NSU, Halle, Hanau

To mark the fourth anniversary of the right-wing terrorist and racist attack in Hanau, we are organising a workshop.
On this evening, we want to raise the question of the continuity of right-wing terror together. The examples of the NSU, Halle and Hanau will be used to visualise this connection.
On this evening, we will also introduce and try out a method from the BiLaN initiative.
The method allows those affected as well as activists to have their say on selected individual incidents of right-wing terror and reveals the consequences for those affected.

The workshop will be held in German.

10 Jahre ohne Henker & Hexogen – Schöner Leben ohne Naziläden?

NS-Zwangsarbeit in Adlershof | Ein Audiowalk

Der Rundgang besteht aus neun Gedenktafeln und aus 14 Audio-Stationen zu historischen Orten der Zwangsarbeit in Adlershof. Adlershof war in der NS-Zeit ein wichtiger Industriestandort. Hier befanden sich zahlreiche Einsatzorte und Unterkünfte für Zwangsarbeitende. Der Rundgang informiert über diese historischen Orte und die Unternehmen, die von Zwangsarbeit profitierten. Das Angebot, das online abgerufen werden kann, enthält vertiefende Informationen, unter anderem zur NS-Geschichte von Adlershof.

The tour consists of nine memorial plaques and 14 audio stations on historical sites of forced labour in Adlershof. Adlershof was an important industrial site during the Nazi era. There were numerous places of work and accommodation for forced labourers here. The tour provides information about these historical sites and the companies that profited from forced labour. The offer, which can be accessed online, contains in-depth information, including on the Nazi history of Adlershof.

Geführter Spaziergang entlang der ehemaligen Berliner Mauer

Mit 17 Kilometern verlief das längste innerstädtische Teilstück der Berliner Mauer entlang der Bezirksgrenze Treptows zu Kreuzberg und Neukölln. Allein in Treptow kamen mindestens 23 Menschen im Zusammenhang mit der Berliner Mauer ums Leben, darunter drei Kinder. Einige Fluchtschicksale werden in diesem geführten Spaziergang erörtert.

The longest inner-city section of the Berlin wall measured 17 kilometers and ran along the borderlines of the districts Treptow, Kreuzberg and Neukölln. In Treptow alone, at least 23 people, including three children, lost their lives in connection with the Berlin Wall. Some of their stories of refugees are discussed in this guided walk.

Der Elsengrund und der frühe NS-Terror | Führung

Einen Höhepunkt des frühen NS-Terrors in Berlin stellte die „Köpenicker Blutwoche“ Ende Juni 1933 dar. SA-Männer verschleppten hunderte Menschen in die Sturmlokale und ins ehemalige Amtsgerichtsgefängnis, wo sie schwer misshandelt wurden. Mindestens 23 Menschen starben. Die Gewalt fand nicht anonym im geschlossenen Raum statt, sondern unter den Augen der Öffentlichkeit. 88 Jahre nach den Ereignissen erzählt der Rundgang die Geschichte(n) der Opfer und ihrer Familien.

The “Köpenick Blood Week” at the end of June 1933 was a high point of the early Nazi terror in Berlin. SA men deported hundreds of people to the Sturmlokale and the former district court prison, where they were severely abused. At least 23 people died. The violence did not take place anonymously in a closed room, but in full view of the public. 88 years after the events, the tour tells the story(s) of the victims and their families.
