Info session

The advisory center Kreativ Kultur Berlin of Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH and the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion invite you to an info session. Applicants will have the opportunity to obtain important information about the work grant and the application process. Questions can be asked after the information event.

Target group / Purpose of funding

The work grants are intended for the artistic development of professional film and video makers (women and trans, inter and non-binary people). Funding is provided for projects for a limited duration, such as script-writing, for research and/or other aspects of pre-production/production or post-production of films.

Eligibility and conditions

  • Funding is intended for artists (women and trans, inter and non-binary people) who have already completed their artistic training and/or who can prove that they have been working as a filmmaker for several years.
  • The filmmakers applying to this programme must have their main place of residence in Berlin.
  • Projects that serve the realization of video installations are not funded.
  • Students (including doctoral candidates) and professors are excluded from submitting an application.
  • The online applications must be completed and submitted in German.

Funding volume

The work grant amount to € 2,000 per month. They are usually awarded for a period of four to six months depending on the specific requirements of the project – subject to the availability of funds.

Call for applications

A call for applications to this programme is issued in August for the following year.

Allocation of funding

An expert jury decides on the applications. The jury members for the grants 2026 are Brenda Akele Jorde, Letícia Milano, Irma-Kinga Stelmach, Geraldine Voss, Linda Winkler und Florian Wüst.

All applicants are expected to be informed of the results of the jury meeting by e-mail by the end of February 2026. The names of the funded artists will be announced to the public.
