The funding programme for intercultural projects was established in 1979 with the aim of strengthening and developing the cultural identity of artists with migration backgrounds active in the multicultural metropolis of Berlin. Today, the programme’s primary objectives are to promote intercultural dialogue and to support artistic talent within Berlin’s migrant population with its diverse multicultural identities.
