What are the examination preparation and grammar training?

The examination preparation and grammar training are aimed at people who wish to prepare for an examination or improve their German language skills.
The Volkshochschule Neukölln offers training for the TELC examination, level B1, B2 and C1, the ‚Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom‘ (level C2), as well as preparation for the “German test for immigrants” (DTZ).
The courses take place in the form of weekend block seminars or bi-weekly.
In addition, a daily course to prepare to the Test DaF and a bi-weekly spelling and grammar course for level skills A2 and B1 are also on offer.

Benefits

These trainings will help you achieve confidence in written and spoken German, increasing your chances of success on the labour market or at university.

Who can take part?

Anyone who wishes to prepare for an examination can take part in these courses.
Participants getting ready for the basic, intermediate or advanced level courses can also register to the block seminars.
Anyone who already has a good knowledge of German but wants to improve their spelling and grammar can take part in grammar training.
A level of A2 to B1 is required to participate in the grammar training courses.

How can you enrol?

For the grammar training and examination preparation courses, you may register online .
To finalise your enrolment, a signed registration form with course number and SEPA direct debit mandate must be sent via post, fax [phone]), or E-Mail. .

Taking the exams

Participation in the final exam is not included in the training. You must register independently for any examinations.

Cost

Participants enrolled to take the “German test for immigrants” (DTZ) with the VHS Neukölln benefit from the examination preparation courses free of charge.
All other training courses are subject to a fee, no BAMF funding is possible.

Textbooks

Information on the textbooks to purchase will be given to you in class.

Reimbursement of costs

Cancellations prior to one working day to course begin, are subject to a fee. No refund is possible once the course has started.
