Since 2015 the Internationalisation Program supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as networks with a series of aligned modules including participating in trade shows and conferences, employing foreign trade assistants, joining delegations, shared stands and platforms, and establishing an international network.
The aim of funding delegation visits and shared trade show stands and platforms is to strengthen Berlin’s economy through location marketing, acquiring international investors for Berlin, and forging links to measures in international cooperation.
Applicants must be submitted by associations and organisations involved in business promotion. Although no applications can be accepted from individual companies, they can take part in delegation visits or shared trade fair stands organised by institutions or associations. In this way, individual companies can be integrated into the overall presentation of Berlin and acquire a valuable opportunity to network. Companies are required to pay their own travel costs (transport and accommodation).
