Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Information and support for the Berlin economy
The global spread of the coronavirus poses enormous challenges for the economy and society. The absolute priority is to protect people and save lives.
Berlin’s entrepreneurs have already been severely affected by the economic impact of the coronavirus. The State of Berlin is doing everything it can to support them in this difficult time, to ensure liquidity and to protect jobs.
The support is adresses all sectors: small, medium and large companies, including non-profit legal forms, as long as they are economically active, furthermore tourism, the hotel industry, consumer-oriented services (e.g. clubs and restaurants), retail trade and the self-employed.
On this page we have compiled important information and links for affected companies. Please contact the offices listed, which can provide competent and up-to-date information on the respective specific issues and, if necessary, also provide legal advice.
Please note that at this page we only provide information on measures that have already been decided. Further possibilities for support will be published here step by step.
SARS-CoV-2 Containment Measures Ordinance
The Senate Administration for Health has, in consultation with the Senate Chancellery, the Senate Administration for the Interior and the Senate Administration for Economics, prepared an interpretation guide for the SARS-CoV-2 Containment Measures Ordinance. We update these on a regular basis.
In this mailbox, the Senate Department of Economics collects questions on the interpretation and application of the SARS-CoV-2 Containment Measures Ordinance.
Your request will be taken into account when adapting the interpretation guide.
No individual answers will be given to individual enquiries addressed to this mailbox. Your inquiry will not be forwarded either.
For inquiries regarding your individual case, please contact your local regulatory authority (Ordnungsamt).
