40 years partner cities: Berlin - Los Angeles

The Berlin-Los Angeles Sister City Partnership will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2007.
Berlin and Los Angeles have been sister cities since 27 June 1967. Thanks to very diverse individual activities and reciprocal visits, the two cities have enjoyed continuous exchange over the years. Art and culture are represented with many different activities, such as exhibitions, guest performances of plays and concerts, cooperative projects in the area of film and television, urban development, and architecture. Another important element of the city partnership is the exchange of experience in administration and judicial practice and in police and fire department work.
