With Lesbianas Concentradas and Antonia Truninger
Freitag, 14.2.2025, 6pm | Hansabibliothek
Lesbianas Concentradas: A publishing house highlighting queer voices.
Antonia Truninger is writer and curator with a text-performative practice, co-directing Hamlet in Zurich. Their work navigates intersections of art history, philosophy, and independent curatorial practices.
At the heart of these shared readings lies a profound demand: the act of emotional exchange that art, writing, and storytelling embody. These sessions invite us to envision a moment where ability and disability, love and hate, joy and pain, are not fixed binaries but rather a web of intersectional complexities—deserving of spaces for exchange, akin to come closer to what Jan Verwoert calls a “republic of liberated witnesses.” This proposal, aiming for parted totalities, is tender yet grotesque.
While acknowledging its complexities, these sessions call for attention, witnessing, and care as ways to inherit and embody its multitudes across four days.
We are thrilled to invite you to *Mighty Real*—to share a dream, a love letter, a shout, split across readings, performances, and sound. Within the wintry winds of Hansabibliothek, we’ll gather and glimpse what might emerge in this shared imagining. The reading sessions and lecture performances are events of GROTTO in cooperation with Hansabibliothek.
Hansabibliothek is wheelchair accessible and offers all-gender restrooms. Conveniently located adjacent to the U9 Hansaplatz station.
All events in this series are free of charge, with an open invitation for contributions to support GROTTO’s upcoming programs and artists.
The library provides various seating arrangements, including floor pillows, foldable chairs, and non-foldable chairs. All sessions will be conducted in English.
