Free parking is to become easier for midwives and employees of outpatient care services in Berlin.
This was announced by the Senate Department for Transport on Wednesday. "Compared to the previous procedure, in future applicants will only have to provide credible evidence that they need the exemption from the parking fee urgently or in certain areas," explained Senator Manja Schreiner (CDU). This means less bureaucracy than before.
In addition, every midwife as well as outpatient care services will also receive a flat-rate free parking regulation for the whole of Berlin upon application. At the end of last year, the Senate had already agreed to make it easier for employees of the police, fire department or hospital staff, for example, who regularly work night shifts and then have to park their car, to be exempt from parking charges.
