Another warning strike from Tuesday morning: S-Bahn affected

S-Bahn Berlin

The German train drivers' union GDL has called the next warning strike in the wage dispute at Deutsche Bahn. In Berlin, the S-Bahn is once again affected.

The strike in freight transport will begin on Monday at 6 p.m. and end on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Passenger transport will be affected from 2 a.m. early Tuesday morning.

BVG not on strike

The new warning strike is set to last until 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Deutsche Bahn has announced that despite the short lead time, it intends to offer a basic service again for long-distance, regional and suburban rail services. Travelers should inform themselves about their connection before starting their journey. It is unclear whether Deutsche Bahn will be able to put together another emergency timetable in the short time available. It is also possible that the company will suspend all long-distance services due to the short notice. The Berlin S-Bahn referred to the offers of the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). In what is now the fifth industrial action in the ongoing wage dispute, the GDL staged a 35-hour strike on passenger services last Thursday and Friday.
