Forest fire in Wannsee: 500 square metres in flames

A fire broke out in a wooded area in Wannsee.

On Friday afternoon, a fire brigade spokesperson told dpa that about 500 square metres between Badeweg and Wannseebadweg were on fire. People were not at risk, he said, the forest fire had been discovered in time and was already contained. "No one has to worry, there is no danger of it spreading." However, the firefighting work in Wannsee was expected to continue for a few more hours, the spokesman said. According to the statement, 12 firefighters were on duty.
