Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC)

The Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) is made up of more than 300 member cities, each of which has at least one site on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Founded in 1993, this organization’s primary aim is to improve and promote exchange and communication between the individual cities. The members of the OWHC are also committed to raising the population’s awareness of the need to preserve World Heritage sites.
