Fast-Track Cities Initiative to End Aids

Fast Track Cities neu

In July 2016 Berlin joined the Fast-Track Cities Initiative to end AIDS. This network was launched by Berlin’s partner city Paris and other strong allies. Along with Paris, core partners include:

• The Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)
• The United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-HABITAT)
• The International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC)

The goal is to end the AIDS epidemic in cities by 2030. You can read the press release about Berlin joining the organization here. The Senate Department for Health and Social Services will be in charge of the day-to-day work done in connection with this initiative. More information on the network is available online at www.fast-trackcities.org.
