Youth culture card now available in Berlin

Jugendkulturkarte

Since Wednesday, young people registered in Berlin can get into museums, cinemas or theaters for free with the Youth Culture Card.

The Youth Culture Card ("Jugendkulturkarte") offers around 218,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 23 €50 each to spend on cultural events by the end of April.

Online registration possible until end of February

After registering online in February, they can pick up their card at one of more than 40 libraries in Berlin. The credit can then be used at evening and advance ticket sales at the more than 160 participating cultural venues in Berlin.

Culture pass planned at the federal level

This project, which has a budget of eight million euros, is initially a one-off. At the federal level, a culture pass for 18-year-olds is currently being planned. Funded with 100 million euros, the culture pass will initially be offered to the around 750,000 young people who turn 18 this year. The card will give them 200 euros to redeem for tickets or books.
