Please note: Since 25 October 2020, Berlin Schönefeld Airport has been Terminal 5 of Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Also on 25 October, the existing train station and bus stops were renamed from "Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld" to "Flughafen BER - Terminal 5".
Terminal 5 (former Berlin Schönefeld Airport) is located on the southern outskirts of Berlin. On 31 October the capital's airport BER opens - Schönefeld Airport will thus become part of the major airport and is the new Terminal 5.

Public Transport:

It is easy to reach the Berlin city center from Schönefeld Airport as the Schönefeld train station has direct links to regional trains, the S-Bahn and buses and is only a ten-minute walk from the terminal building. For drivers: Schönefeld Airport is connected to highway A113 which leads to the city center.

Airport Express Train from and to Schönefeld:

Between 4.30 a.m. and 11 p.m. the regional trains RE7 and RB14 called "Airport Express", travel in 30 minute intervals between Schönefeld Airport and Berlin-Charlottenburg with stops at Ostbahnhof, Alexanderplatz, Berlin Central Station and Berlin-Zoo. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Ostbahnhof with the Airport Express and 30 minutes to get to Berlin Central Station. Note: Schönefeld Airport is located in fare zone C. To get to the city centre an ABC ticket is required.

Transport to Station Südkreuz:

The S-Bahn line S45 runs between the train station Airport Schönefeld and Station Südkreuz. Berlin-Südkreuz has direct links to the S-Bahn (Ringbahn / Circle Line) and to other public transport towards the city centre. The journey between Airport Schönefeld and Station Südkreuz takes about 30 minutes. In addition to the train travel time travellers should plan on a walk of five to ten minutes between the airport terminals and the train station Berlin-Schönefeld.

Transport by Bus:

From Schönefeld Airport the following buses run to Berlin's city centre: From Terminal A: 163, 171, X7, N7, N60

Taxi Fares from Terminal 5:

City West (train station Zoo): about 44 Euros; City East (Alexanderplatz): about 41 Euros; Schönefeld Airport to Tegel Airport: about 55 Euros

Car Rental at Terminal 5:

Several car rental companies have branches at the Airport located in the pavilion in front of the Terminal.
