Ivar Kaasik: Before now

In the exhibition "before now", nüüd gallery is showing the fascinating world of the renowned Estonian artist Ivar Kaasik, who lives in Berlin.

His large-format abstract paintings are characterised by monochrome colours and strict geometry, expressing chaos and death, but also light, order and rebirth. The new works from 2022/24 and the older works from the 1990s lead the viewer into the artist's past and present and are just as astonishing as a selection of his photorealistic paintings. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue that illustrates the diverse range of the talented artist's work.
