Alexandra Pirici creates a living landscape in which the human bodies of the performers as well as those of the visitors move amidst chemical reactions, mineral formations and other physical phenomena.

From 25 April to 6 October 2024, a new site-specific work commissioned by Hamburger Bahnhof for the Historische Halle will be on view. From now on, new artistic explorations of architecture will be presented here every year. Alexandra Pirici will transform the hall into a living landscape where human bodies - including those of visitors, move and perform alongside chemical reactions, mineral formations and physical phenomena, inviting us to observe how we resemble, influence and attune to one-other. The exhibition celebrates and recognizes the continuum between the animate and the inanimate, as both metaphor and scientific fact. In 2024, this annual exhibition is co-commissioned by Hamburger Bahnhof and Audemars Piguet Contemporary.
