The timbres of nature

"Sunday Music" event series

Pegasus Quartett

Pegasus Quartett

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy provides the program framework for the Pegasus Quartet's concert with his song collection "Im Freien zu singen". The composer was inspired by the idea of performing these songs outdoors in the fresh air, as the content and performance venue merge into one. His sister Fanny Hensel's "Garden Songs" also reflect his love of nature. Camille Saint-Saëns, Claude Debussy, Stanford and Elgar represent the French and English vocal music of the Romantic period in this theme. The singers are:

Juliane Kunzendorf (soprano)
Isabel Felgenhauer (alto)
Tobias Fahnert (tenor) and
Alexander Lust (bass)

Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the exhibition "The Mendelssohns in Jägerstraße" during the event.
