From 2022, the Potsdamer Platz Arkaden will offer a completely new shopping experience after extensive renovation work.

The plan is to have 90 shops in six theme worlds ranging from fashion and lifestyle to sports and technology. There will also be a name change: The Playce.

Complete renovation over three floors - partial opening on 15 September

The renovation work in the 40,000 square metre building is already in full swing. On the construction site itself, you can already get an idea of the new shopping world. In the style of a market hall and under the name "The Playce", international brands, local suppliers and service providers will move in on three floors. According to the operators, the first part of the centre is to open on 15 September 2022. The first tenants include Caffe e Gelato and TK Maxx.

Arcades are popular with tourists

There are 4000 parking spaces available for visitors in the multi-storey car park. But the shopping centre is also easy to reach by public transport: The building is integrated into the lines of both the Berlin public transport system and the Berlin-Brandenburg public transport system. Its central location on Potsdamer Platz makes the mall particularly popular with visitors to Berlin.
