The Coronavirus incidence in Berlin has fallen slightly. On Tuesday morning (Feb. 22, 2022), the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported an incidence of 1079.1.

On the previous days, the incidence value, which indicates the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, had still been over 1100. The Berlin incidence thus remains well below the national average of 1306.8. However, experts assume that there are many unrecorded cases lacking from the RKI data because numerous infections are not registered due to a lack of capacity and insufficient testing.
