The very high Corona numbers in Berlin continue to rise. On 15 January 2022, the health administration and the Robert Koch Institute reported an incidence of 956.9 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

No data from Marzahn-Hellersdorf

On Friday, the figure had been 949.8. The Berlin figures do not include data from Marzahn-Hellersdorf. The district did not transmit any data due to a technical malfunction, it said. The number of hospital admissions is also rising. For every 100,000 people in Berlin, 13.1 were recently hospitalised with Covid-19. This means that two of the three traffic lights in the Senate's warning system are on red. For the occupancy of intensive care beds, it shows yellow.

73.4 percent of Berliners are fully vaccinated

Within 24 hours, 6069 registered Corona infections were added. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 394,659 people have been infected in the city. Meanwhile, a good three quarters of Berliners have been vaccinated against Covid-19 at least once. 73.4 per cent are considered fully vaccinated.
