Restricted S-Bahn service in Pankow due to cable theft

After cables were stolen, the disruptions of the S-Bahn service in the north of Berlin are still continuing.

The S85 from Pankow to Grünau does not run at all for the time being. On the S8 line, there is shuttle service between Blankenburg, Pankow and Bornholmer Straße. This informatio was published in a statement by the Berlin S-Bahn on Monday.

Repair work up to and including Wednesday

Because of the severe damage, repair work is expected to continue up to and including Wednesday. "We are currently working at full speed to repair the damage as quickly as possible," the S-Bahn stated. Around 30 meters of cable were stolen between the stations Bornholmer Straße and Pankow on Saturday night.
