Migration advice service from the Berlin welfare associations

The services offered by the clearing office (Clearingstelle) are intended primarily for new immigrants who have received a residence permit for the first time and their families.

At the clearing office you can get informations about

• the solidification of your residence status,
• the recognition of foreign qualifications,
• advice on benefit entitlements and
• offers of the Immigration Advice Service for Adult Immigrants (MBE) and Youth Immigration Services (JMD) and the relevant contact partners of the MBE or JMD center according to your needs.

Since 2006, the clearing office has been operated jointly by the League of Welfare Associations (LIGA der Wohlfahrtsverbände) and the Berlin Immigration Office, but it is independent of the Berlin Immigration Office.

• Monday and Tuesday: 07:30 a.m. – 02:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 09:00 a.m. – 05:00 p.m.

Immigration advice for adults and young people in the districts

The Immigration Advice Service for Adult Immigrants (MBE, for people unter 27 years of age) and the Youth Immigration Services (JMD, for people up to 27 years of age) will provide you with free and confidential information, advice and support.

Advice is offered in many languages. Depending on the Advice Service other languages can be provided.

The brochure gives you an overview of the Immigration Advice Service for Adult Immigrants (MBE) and the Youth Immigration Services (JMD) in the Berlin districts.
