As an open, young, and dynamic metropolis, Berlin attracts startups, investment capital, and international experts from science, research, and business. This location provides ideal conditions for the development and commercialization of the latest technology applications.

The increasing demand for Deep Tech products and solutions is becoming a sustainable and significant driver of growth for Berlin. At the same time, the development of corresponding solutions and products for companies presents particular challenges due to the combination of hardware and software components, such as long development processes, high innovation costs, and high risks.

Advanced Manufacturing, Bio – & Health Tech, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum technologies, photonics & microelectronics as well as Web3 & distributed ledger technologies (DLT) represent just a subset of the technology and application fields subsumed under “Deep Tech.” Due to the innovation potential of these fields and their significance for the further development of the economic location Berlin, they are additionally supported by the Deep Tech Berlin campaign.
