Applications for the Deep Tech Award can be submitted again from today. This year, however, not only the Deep Tech innovations and the innovators from Berlin will be celebrated, but also the tenth anniversary of the award itself. The award is looking for research-based, application-orientated and tried-and-tested software and hardware products with a high degree of innovation and promising future potential. The award is presented in five categories and aims to strengthen Berlin’s Deep Tech sector and make the innovative power of deep tech ‘Made in Berlin’ more visible. To this end, the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises is organising the competition and providing prize money totalling 50,000 euros.
It is possible for companies to nominate themselves as well as other companies. The application phase is now open and ends on 10 April 2025.
The categories of the Deep Tech Awards 2025 are:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Photonics & Quantum Technologies
- Robotics
- Sustainable & Social Impact
- Web3 – DLT, Blockchain, NFT & Metaverse
An independent jury of experts selects a ‘Deep Tech Star’ for each category. The submissions are evaluated based on the degree of innovation, the purpose and added value of the product and the business model.
The winners of the Deep Tech Award 2025 will be announced on 2 July 2025 and will receive prize money of 10,000 euros per category.
Deep Tech Berlin is looking forward to many exciting submissions and to celebrating its tenth anniversary with an ever-growing Deep Tech community of new and old faces.
