Chanson Nette & Trio Scho

Klar zum Kentern

Klar zum Kentern

Don't worry, the tables and chairs in the Ballhaus Wedding don't tilt when “Chanson-Nette” and the Ukrainian-Russian band “Trio Scho” get started with violin, accordion and double bass. Songs of the inland boatmen and sailors, which the young cabaret artist Isa Vermehren sang to the accordion in Werner Finck's Berlin cabaret "Katakombe" in the early 1930s, make the compass spin. But chansons by Georges Brassens, Hermann Leopoldi and old master Friedrich Hollaender also come over the railing with new vigor. Turned on by waves of emotion, through shallow and deep waters, in the face of crises and the worrying world situation - but always on course, in wind force 12!

Berlin landlubbers venture out to sea in this musical-cabaret program, but not just with digging around and sailor brides. The Berlin ex-Spree maiden chats with Gennadij Desatnik, Valeriy Khoryshman and Alexander Franz, in short, with her boys, about youthful love, longings, wanderlust, freedom, the courage to take risks, lies, safe havens, about figureheads and the occasional blow in the water .

“Don’t tattoo me an anchor, tattoo me my bride!”  What's actually about the sea shanties? Quite simply: even intellectuals are allowed to show their penchant for kitsch a little and become sentimental. The men are allowed to be macho. “And we women?” says Chanson-Nette, “we also like to act as figureheads!”

Ahoy, welcome to this strange maritime evening!

THE ARTISTS: Chanson-Nette is a Berlin plant from the Friedrichshainer Kiez. After training in singing and acting, she has been professionally involved in cabaret for 20 years, but is also an ENT doctor in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In practice she cares about the health of her patients, on stage she puts her audience in a good mood. Chanson-Nette is an honorary ambassador for the German Cabaret Archives in Mainz and Bernburg a.d. Saale. The Tagesspiegel writes: “The cheeky Kleene impresses as a Berlin-style Shangsong snout that was actually thought to be extinct.”

Trio Scho comes from the Ukrainian city of Poltava. Since 1994, Gennadij Desatnik, Valeriy Khoryshman and Alexander Franz have been performing on stages in Berlin, nationwide and throughout Europe. Their repertoire includes Russian and international chansons, tango, rock 'n roll & swing from the twenties to today.
