Sprawling Norway maple makes way for young oaks

For trees, a completely different factor is also energy-sapping: competition with other trees. The Norway maple is one of the most common trees in Germany due to its resilience. In our park, however, it is not welcome everywhere: It competes with the roots of our young oaks and beeches. We therefore have to remove it where we don't want it. Get involved yourself on our two action days and ask our gardeners about trees and garden monument conservation.

On these hands-on dates, all visitors are invited to lend a hand with park maintenance and learn lots of interesting facts from the gardeners. The events are free of charge and no registration is required.
