“The artist’s gesture can be similar to that of the archaeologist. It is a about taking into consideration layers, memories and histories in order to approach contemporary human situations,” says film and theater director Amos Gitai, who traces the contradictions and tensions of his home country Israel in many of his more than 70 documentaries and feature films. After the second performance of his play “House”, he will be available to answer questions in an artist talk.
