The Kreuzberg Quarter Marathon (Kreuzberger Viertelmarathon) is a race through Berlin's multicultural Kreuzberg neighborhood. Shorter distances and a team relay are also offered.
The 10.5-kilometer route of the Kreuzberg Quarter Marathon lead runners through the heart of Kreuzberg, from Columbiadamm to Mariannenplatz, and can also be run as a relay (4 x 10.5 kilometers). In addition to the quarter marathon, two other distances are offered: a 5.25- kilometer race, a 2.5-kilometer kids' run for children aged 6 to 13 and a children's run (400 meters) for children up to six years of age . The running event is organized by the association Turngemeinde in Berlin 1848 e.V.
The race starts at the TiB Stadium on Columbiadamm 111. From there, the route goes past the Südstern subway station, along Blücherstraße, Alexandrinenstraße, Moritzplatz and Oranienplatz. After a detour around Mariannenplatz, runners return to the stadium along the same route. Times will be recorded via disposable transponder chips. Changing and shower facilities are available on site at the TiB Stadium.
