Coronavirus incidence at 1145: second lowest in Germany

The Corona incidence in Berlin continues to be well above 1000.

On Friday (March 18, 2022), an incidence of around 1145 new infections per 100,000 people was reported for the past seven days - the second-lowest value of all German states, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Only Hamburg has an even lower figure of around 924. Nationwide, the seven-day incidence was at 1706.

Almost 8000 new infections in one day

7952 new Coronavirus infections were registered in Berlin within one day. The total number for Berlin was thus brought up to 833,613. Five new deaths were reported. Thus, 4315 deaths related to Coronavirus infections have been counted in Berlin so far.
