New traffic routing at Molkenmarkt: Full closure over the weekend

Molkenmarkt

From Sunday evening, the temporary new traffic routing on Molkenmarkt will be usable. This will be set up over the weekend with full closure of several sections of the road.

Road users are advised to avoid the area as far as possible. In the westbound direction, Grunerstrasse will be closed behind Alexanderstrasse, including the road tunnel, between 6 am on Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday. It will not be possible to drive through Spandauer Strasse between Grunerstrasse and Rathausstrasse. Jüdenstraße will become a dead-end street from the direction of Stralauer Straße. Mühlendamm will also be completely closed from Fischerinsel in the direction of the east.

The Rathauspassagen multi-storey car park will be accessible for residents. Access to the Red City Hall will also remain free. Motorists will be guided to Spandauer Straße via Grunerstraße - Jüdenstraße with the help of security personnel. The overall reconstruction of Molkenmarkt is scheduled to be completed by June 2024.
