The Schwules Museum (English: Gay Museum) explores and presents lesbian, gay, trans*, bisexual and queer life stories, themes and concepts in history, art and culture.

Since 1985, the Schwules Museum has endeavored to research and present gay life. This work has resulted in a unique collection on gay social history and the development of gay emancipation, but also in a documentation of the suppression of gay self-expression.
Changing Exhibitions and Events Present Queer Life
Over time, the focus of the museum expanded, and today it also informs visitors about the great diversity of sexual identities and gender concepts. Changing exhibitions present interesting individual aspects and realities of life of queer people in Berlin and the world. Various events, including discussions, guided tours, film screenings, lectures and more, round off the program of the Schwules Museum.
