On April 24, the nationwide lockdown law ("emergency brake") took effect in Berlin: cultural and leisure venues must remain closed from this date. Galleries may remain open under strict conditions. Customers must show a current negative corona test. Further information »

Record Store Day was brought into being in 2007 to draw attention to independent record stores in the US and the unique culture associated with them. The idea has since spread to Europe, Asia and Australia. Today, more than 3,000 record stores worldwide participate, about 15 of them in Berlin. The participating stores not only offer their records for sale, they also host in-store gigs, parties and club events. Limited editions of exclusive Record Store Day releases make for great collectibles.
