Citizens' Festival of the Federal President
Celebrating with the Federal President: In September, the Citizens' Festival takes place at the official residence of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin. more
For one weekend per year, the Federal Chancellery, the Press and Information Office and the Federal Ministries invite all citizens to take a look behind the scenes of political Berlin.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors take the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the Federal Government.
The Federal Press Office offers the opportunity to learn from experts on a variety of topic, whether they concern better work-life balance, educational and career opportunities, entrepreneurial initiatives or social engagement. Many cabinet members and their state secretaries are looking forward to the opportunity to engage in conversation with their guests again in 2027.
Through the informational and entertainment program, visitors can get a sense of Berlin's political scene. Among other things, they have the opportunity to take a look inside the minister's office. In addition, staff members talk about their day-to-day work.
This year's Federal Government Open House will once again feature a variety of activities for families and children.
The security precautions at the Federal Chancellery are the same as at airports. Identity cards or passports must be shown on request. Please refrain from carrying large bags or similar items.
