Varieté Noire: sound painting with words & music

Every month, Varieté Noire brings literature, music and performance to the stage of the TiK and takes the audience into thoughtful spheres and cheerful realms with a variety of performances. From poetry to prose, spoken word, songwriting to hip hop, from saxophone to guitar and drums to piano: every art form has its place here to inspire reflection and empathy. As different as the contributions are, they all have one thing in common: depth. For it is only by confronting the dark that we become receptive to the light. 

Curator is the author, speaker, presenter and podcaster Nora Brandt alias Freifrau von Willen.
