Highlights of the permanent exhibition

Every Museum Sunday

The new permanent exhibition tells the story of Jewish history and the present in Germany.

The five historical chapters and eight rooms on art and culture address the tense relationship between belonging and exclusion from the Middle Ages to the present day. The exhibition focuses on the period of National Socialism and after 1945.

Using selected stations and objects, the tour offers you an initial overview of the exhibition, which tells the story from a Jewish perspective. It takes up the many-voiced, sometimes contradictory positions.

Historical objects, media stations, video installations and works of art from the collection invite you to follow the eventful history and find out more about what it means to be Jewish today.Translated with DeepL
