The effects of global climate change are not sparing historic gardens. High summer temperatures with decreasing rainfall and increasing weather extremes such as storms and heavy rainfall are now posing an existential threat to the trees, shrubs and designs of the listed parks. On a tour of the Ruinenberg and central areas of the garden, participants will learn about the effects of climate change using specific examples. However, the numerous approaches and concrete measures taken by garden conservationists and gardeners to safeguard our shared "green heritage" for the future will also be shown and explained.

Duration of the tour: approx. 2 hours
