The effects of global climate change are not stopping at historic gardens. High summer temperatures with decreasing precipitation and increasingly occurring weather extremes such as storms and heavy rains now pose an existential threat to the trees, woody plants and designs of the listed parks. During a tour of Ruin Hill and central areas of the garden, participants will learn about the effects of climate change using concrete examples. They will also learn about the numerous approaches and concrete measures taken by gardeners and preservationists to safeguard our common "green heritage" for the future.
