„In the shadow of forward motion“ transports us into a slippery landscape of unlikely merges and fusions of life; lives that we are accustomed to keeping separate.
A queer cruise. A primordial, biological ooze which inevitably merges with everything it touches. One way or another, every part of this archaic fundament will become aroused. In the shadow of forward motion disrupts notions of a core identity, sexual hegemony, and species superiority, instead, recognizing the constant pluripotentiality of change. It emphasizes the intrusions of others, which constantly re-make us materially and spiritually. On a glistening amniotic ground, proximal strangers become intimate and oddly attached, wondering what new identities can emerge if we embrace the enigmatic, claim the opaque, and conjure complex, wild, and unexpected dances.
