Olympic Stadium
When Berlin was chosen to host the 1936 Olympic Games in 1931, Werner March was commissioned to redesign the German Stadium. Thus, by 1936, the strictly symmetrical Olympic Stadium with the Olympic Square had been built. In the years between 2000 and 2004, the Olympic Stadium was thoroughly rebuilt and modernized for the 2006 World Cup.
