Incidence in Berlin has fallen again

Corona-Tests

The incidence of corona in Berlin has recently fallen again. It was around 347 on Tuesday morning, according to the situation report of the Berlin Senate and data from the Robert Koch Institute.

Previously, the number of new infections within seven days per 100,000 people had been around 375. The nationwide incidence was given by the RKI on Tuesday at around 438. According to the situation report of the Berlin Senate on Tuesday, 2686 new Corona infections were recorded within one day. This brings the total number registered since the start of the pandemic in spring 2020 to 1,031,206.

No new fatalities registered

However, experts assume that many Corona cases are not recorded because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. Only these are counted in the statistics. In addition, not all health offices report their data on a daily basis, so especially at weekends and at the beginning of the week there can be a delay. No new deaths were registered in Berlin; a total of 4556 deaths related to Corona infections have been counted in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic.
