Thousands of new Coronavirus infections continue to be reported in Berlin.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence remained almost unchanged and was at 1077.4 on Thursday morning (Feb. 24, 2022). The value indicates the number of reported new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. On Wednesday, the incidence had been at 1079.6, a week ago at 1034.4.
Around 7400 new infections were reported within one day, - down from 8230 a week ago. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 717,000 infections have been reported in Berlin. 5 more people died in connection with a Covid infection, bringing the total of Coronavirus-related deaths to 4227.
