Berlin's outdoor pools are looking for lifeguards

Badegäste schwimmen im Sommerbad Humboldthain

Berlin's outdoor pools and lidos are still looking for lifeguards for the current summer season.

New lifeguards are to support the existing staff, the pool operator Berliner Bäder-Betriebe (BBB) announced on Friday. Those interested can showcase their skills on June 14 at the Sommerbad Humboldthain and on June 20 at the outdoor pool in Pankow. Applicants will complete a combined rescue exercise in which a rescue dummy is retrieved from the water and CPR ist administered.

Application possible even without lifeguard training

Applicants without prior lifeguard training are welcome as well. Good swimming skills are a prerequisite for the one-week training as a lifeguard. An overview of the requirements and the training can be found on the website of the Bäder-Betriebe.
