Starting Tuesday, some extensive road closures will be in effect in Tiergarten through the end of June due to several large events.

On Friday, June 09, 2023, the 5x5K Team Relay Race will take place on a 5-kilometer course in the northern Tiergarten. The cycling competitions will also take place in Tiergarten. In the course of the preparations for the Special Olympics, the Straße des 17. Juni between Großer Stern and the Brandenburg Gate, Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße and Ebertstraße between Behrenstraße and Dorotheenstraße will be completely closed to car and bicycle traffic from June 7. On June 9, Scheidemannstraße will be closed between Ebertstraßee and Heinrich-von-Gagern-Straße. Two days later, on June 11, the Spreeweg towards Paulstraße between Großer Stern and John-Foster-Dulles-Allee as well as Jon-Foster-Dulles-Allee itself will follow. All of the above closures will be lifted in the late evening of June 28.

Short-term closures for Special Olympics ceremonies

For the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics on June 17 and the Closing Ceremony on June 28, there will be additional road closures. The closure of Ebertstraße will be extended to Hannah-Arendt-Straße. Behrenstraße will also be closed off between Cora-Berliner-Straße and Ebertstraße. These restrictions will apply all day on June 17, 18 and 25.
