Deutschland Ticket: Upgrade of semester ticket possible from June

Starting in June, students in Berlin will be able to upgrade their semester ticket to the Deutschland Ticket for an additional fee.

According to the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment, Berlin's universities will receive the corresponding access data by May 30, which they can forward to students. The upgrade will be carried out via an app. Students who want to upgrade their semester ticket will have to pay a monthly surcharge of 13.95 euros.
