    Construction site around the former squatted artists' house "Tacheles". The Swedish photography museum Fotografiska wants to open a branch in Berlin here.

The Swedish photography museum Fotografiska opend its Berlin branch in September 2023 on 5,500 square metres in the famous Tacheles building on Oranienburger Straße in Mitte.

From emerging talent to internationally established artists, the Fotografiska Berlin aims to exhibit works by the world's best photographers. With outstanding photo exhibitions and a diverse cultural programme, the house wants to establish itself as an open cultural centre in the capital. A restaurant is also planned. The Fotografiska Berlin will be the fourth branch of the photography museum, joining the museums in Stockholm, New York and Tallinn.
