The Anne Frank Zentrum commemorates Anne Frank’s story and her famous diary with the permanent exhibition "All About Anne".

Anne Frank Zentrum

Located at Rosenthaler Straße 39 in the popular tourist destination of Haus Schwarzenberg, the Anne Frank Zentrum is dedicated to preserving her memory. Visitors can learn about the girl’s life under National Socialism, her escape to Amsterdam, her deportation and her death in Bergen-Belsen.

Anne Frank exhibition as a place of learning

The exhibition "All About Anne" is specifically designed for children and teenagers. At interactive stations, visitors can discover their own understanding of the significance of Anne Frank’s story. Through hands-on activities, no ready-made answers are provided. The center offers special educational tours for groups and school classes.

Anti-Semitism then and now

Particular emphasis is placed on the development of antisemitism. In doing so, the Anne Frank Zentrum bridges the gap between history and the present - for example, by linking and comparing current antisemitic incidents with the reality of the Nazi era. In this regard, the museum works closely with the registry maintained by the Research and Information Center on Antisemitism in Berlin (RIAS).

A cultural institution: Haus Schwarzenberg

In addition to the Anne Frank Center, the Haus Schwarzenberg also houses the Otto Weidt Museum for the Blind, the Central Cinema, and the Neurotitan Gallery as well as smaller exhibitions, workshops, studios and a tailor shop.
