Due to the Corona pandemic, extensive distance and hygiene rules apply in Berlin. Events in the leisure and entertainment sector may not take place until the end of March 28, 2021. Museums and galleries may open under strict conditions. Other cultural institutions currently remain closed. Further information »
Children and parents are invited to “join-in” and take part across a range of activity stop-over stations designed to stimulate all senses and turn learning into fun.
The museum opened in 1997 in a 1,000 sq m former match factory in the Berlin-Wedding area as part of the social initiative Fabrik Osloer Strasse. It took the Museum just over ten years to establish itself as one of the leading children activity museums in Germany. It operates as a partner in an educational network which includes the Berlin Senate for Education, Science and Research cooperating with cultural institutions, artists and scientists nationally and internationally. The museum promotes ongoing exhibitions and training acting as a forum for the ongoing development of child-centred educational activity.
As shoes are not allowed in, the museum invites all visitors to bring thick socks or slippers for comfort and hygiene!
